Lighting Solutions is dedicated to energy savings and environmental stewardship. We are committed to cleaning the air, reducing waste and keeping our water pure. Each of our divisions ensures that all activities minimize their impact on the environment.
Cleaning the air:
Through our efforts to reduce lighting cost by at least 25% for our clients, we have also significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions from being released into our air. Since inception, Lighting Solutions has reduced 50,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
Lighting Solutions continues its commitment to reduce GHGs by developing lighting systems that require less energy that meet our clients’ lighting requirements.
Keeping our soil and water clean:
Our zero waste policy ensures all old fixtures, ballasts and bulbs are disposed of appropriately to minimize contamination of our soil and water.
During the demolition phase, all old fixtures are disassembled, separated and the parts sent off to the appropriate metal recyclers. All old HID and fluorescent lamps are recycled and all PCB ballasts that we remove are sent for incineration insuring that all the hazardous waste we come across is disposed off appropriately and safely.
We are committed beyond our activities, to offer a variety of turn-key programs to multi-residential, commercial and community properties to effectively recycle hazardous materials such as lighting, batteries and electronics. Keeping our promise in house:
At Lighting Solutions, we have incorporated energy and environmental conservation measures throughout our operations. Our offices are fully designed with energy efficient lighting and sensors, composting and recycling systems and energy-efficient office equipment.
We further minimize our impact through ensuring that sales meetings & deliveries are planned accordingly to reduce time our vehicles are on the road.
